Who runs this site

Ente Kannur Theyyam is published and operated by GIS Consultant, a brand of Dronimagination Pvt Ltd. It is an independent guide and is not operated, reviewed, or endorsed by DTPC Kannur, the Kannur District Collectorate, or the Government of Kerala. Where content is adapted from an official source, that source is credited on the page.

Privacy

The site does not require registration and does not use third-party tracking cookies for its own analytics. Advertising impressions and clicks are counted in aggregate per day without any personal identifier. Feedback forms store only what you type. Location ("Near me") is used in your browser only and never sent to our server. Embedded YouTube videos use the privacy-enhanced (no-cookie) player and load only when you press play. Google Maps embeds and any Google AdSense advertising are governed by Google's own privacy policy and may use cookies under their terms.

Advertising

This site carries advertising — first-party partner placements to local tourism businesses, and/or Google AdSense — to keep it free and sustainable. Every partner creative is reviewed by our editorial team before it goes live, must be truthful and compliant with the ASCI code, and may not promote alcohol, tobacco, gambling, political content or anything inconsistent with the religious nature of Theyyam. Partner content is always marked "Sponsored" or "Community partner". Revenue supports the running of this site. We offer a free Community tier to genuinely local artisan groups, Kudumbashree units and homestays as a matter of policy, not government mandate.

Content licences

Photographs are reproduced from Wikimedia Commons under their individual Creative Commons licences (CC BY, CC BY-SA, CC0 or public domain), with the photographer and licence named beside each image. Text describing venues is adapted from the Kerala Tourism Theyyam Calendar and credited on each page. Original editorial text on this site is © GIS Consultant and may be reused with attribution. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL).

Accuracy

Festival dates depend on the Malayalam calendar and on temple committees' decisions and can change. Dates are shown as provisional until we've confirmed them. Neither GIS Consultant nor Dronimagination Pvt Ltd is liable for changes; please confirm with the temple or venue before travelling.

Accessibility

We aim for WCAG 2.1 AA: keyboard navigation, skip links, alt text, sufficient contrast, responsive layout and Malayalam labels. Please report barriers via the contact page.

Hosting & security

The site runs over HTTPS with standard security headers, a content-security policy, and regular database backups. No user accounts other than administrative ones are stored.
