Asia's longest drive-in beach: 4 km of firm sand where you can drive, cycle and watch the sun set over the Arabian Sea.
Muzhappilangad is the only drive-in beach in India and one of the few in Asia. A 4-kilometre stretch of firm, flat sand runs between Kannur and Thalassery, bounded by black rocks that keep the water shallow and calm. You can drive the length of the beach, paraglide, cycle or simply walk out to Dharmadam island at low tide. DTPC operates a paid entry and adventure activities in season. The beach has been listed by BBC among the world's top drive-in beaches.
