A tiny, thickly wooded private island 100 m off Dharmadam beach, reachable on foot at low tide.
Dharmadam Thuruthu is a five-acre island covered with coconut palms and green bushes, just off the beach where the Anjarakandy river meets the sea. At low tide you can wade across from Muzhappilangad or Dharmadam beach. The island is privately owned; permission is needed to land, but the view from the beach is the attraction.
