About Sree Chaamakkavu Bhagavathy Temple

Legend is that when the Kadinjippalli head of the family went to bathe and pray at the Madayi Kavu , the Bhagavathy, enamoured by his majestic stature, followed him back home. From there she went up the forty-second feet Kalari enjoying the beauty of the Chaamakkavu and settled in this place. There is Vellattam performance. The temple is administered by the Devaswom and has been renovated with an entrance gate keeping traditional architectural elements in mind.
