About Thekkumbadu Koolom Thazhekkavu Bhagavathy Temple

As the legend goes, the Goddess of Koolom temple wandered into the teeming Thazhekkadu flower garden and lost her way. Sage Narada rescued her and the spot where he found her is the site of the Bhagavathy temple. This temple, set amidst the mangrove forests on the seashore, has a rare beauty of its own. Travelers can reach the Koolom temple via the Cherukunnu Thara down the Kannur-Valapattanam route. The temple belongs to the Devaswom Department of the area.
