About Aduthila Guliyanka Bhagavathy Temple

The recently renovated Aduthila Guliyanka Bhagavathy temple is at the Aduthila stop on the Kannur- Pazhayangadi route. Guliyanka Bhagavathy is the prominent deity of this family temple. Legend has it that the Goddess, who was discarded by the Kaalakaatti Illam , had taken refuge in the Kallukuthu Kuzhi. Enamoured by the manners, discipline and customary rites of the Poonthottam priests and Viswakarmas, the Goddess installed herself in nearby Aduthila.
