About Kandothu Sree Paradevatha Temple

The legends of many Theyyam centres are intertwined with historical facts. Historians often unravel facts from these legends to glean proofs for their evidence. According to findings, the gods in the temple were brought and kept at Pookattil by two persons named Manikyan and Chiru during the invasion of Tipu Sultan. The temple can be reached if you alight at Chēkkunnu near Maadapeedika Chockli by way of Kannur via Thalassery Jagannatha temple.
