About Uthamanthil Sree Kshetrapalaka Temple

The family heads of Uthamanthil manor fasted for years in the Kshetrapalaka temple at Uthinur. Such penance appeased the deity who is believed to have come away with them. This is the Devasthanam of Kottilil Tharavadu . Here the festival is held only once in three years. The temple is to the east of the Thankayam Hospital via Thalichalam Bridge off Payyanur.
